Register after arrival

After receiving your permit and arriving, register your address with your municipality.

You will then receive a p-number, the Faroese personal identification number, and be entered in the National Register. A p-number is needed for salary and taxes and enables services such as opening a bank account and arranging phone or internet access. See https://integration.fo/moving for guidance.
