Faroese as a Second Language (FSA)
FSA – Føroyskt sum annaðmál (Faroese as a Second Language) is for adults whose first language is not Faroese, including newcomers to the Faroe Islands.
The courses focuses on developing skills in:
• Speaking and listening in everyday communication
• Reading and writing
• Faroese culture and society
FSA is organised in three pathways, FSA1, FSA2, and FSA3, with levels based on the CEFR scale, ranging from pre-A1 to B2 depending on the pathway. Participants are assessed for placement, and the programme includes level assessments and examinations.
