Waste and recycling

IRF organises household waste collection and recycling in the municipalities. The main household system includes:

• Grey bag: residual household waste.

• White bag: clean paper, cardboard and soft plastic accepted under IRF’s current sorting guidance.

• Red bag: batteries, bulbs, aerosol cans, selected chemicals and small electrical items, according to IRF’s instructions.

• Recycling centres: materials that must not be placed in ordinary household bags.
