Municipal integration coordinator
On 1 May 2026, the municipalities of Klaksvík, Eystur, Fuglafjørður, Hvannasund, Viðareiði, Kunoy and Fugloy entered into a collaboration in which an integration coordinator was appointed for the entire northern eastern region.
The main task of the integration coordinator
The integration coordinator is the municipality’s main contact person for new residents and families moving to the area. The main role is to make it easier for them to settle in, receive the right information and support, and become part of the local community.

About once a month, newcomers will be invited through Vangin to an information meeting at Miðnám in Kambsdalur. Here, you can receive guidance and ask questions about life in the Faroe Islands and in the NorthEast region.

activities and community life
your rights and responsibilities
